My name is Joy Miao. I am a student at Wellesley High School in Wellesley, MA.
My research in the Edsinger Lab was on octopus behavior and squid as a model organism. As a part of the Edsinger lab during the summer of 2017, I helped build the tank system for the octopuses, looked after them, helped to build a website for project octocam, and performed in vitro fertilization of squid.
I am also interested in behavioral neuroscience and biomedical engineering.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the violin, reading Shakespeare, creating new cooking recipes, and training for marathons.
My future plans include studying at ________ college/University and combining my interests in neuroscience with biomedical engineering to innovate the next high tech devices for medical advancement.
